Happy Thursday, fellow Spellbinders!
I can confirm that 61% of you already know this, since you completed them, but the BackerKit surveys were sent Tuesday and Wednesday. If you didn't receive it, please check your spam folder. If you did receive it, and haven't completed it yet, what the heck are you waiting for?? ;)
We will be locking orders in less than two weeks, so please get those orders finalized. Reminder that this is very likely your only chance to grab an EDWARD GLOOM MYSTERIES #1 printed from Spellbound.
A little taste of GLOOM...
If GLOOM goes on to be a major motion picture from another publisher, just think how much this copy will be worth!
On the printing end, the files are now complete except for one final assembly, but all should be 100% complete by Monday at the latest. At that point, I am going to get one printed copy of each comic and the TPB ordered so I can review the actual printed copies before ordering thousands. That will take a couple weeks to arrive.
If all looks good on the printed proofs, we'll place the full order, get the copies a few weeks later (assuming the printer's delivery estimates are accurate, and I have no reason to think they aren't), and start fulfilling. Once everyone's copies have been sent, I'll send more info on how to vote for which title you'd like to see continue to series first.

NEW YEAR, NEW UPDATE (for THE DeMULTIVERSE from Spellbound Comics)

Hello, loyal Spellbinders! Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. I'm sure some or all of you are wondering where The DeMultiverse stands, so let's get to it...
To start, how about we reveal Kent Williams' variant cover for GODSEND? Hot off the presses, here it is!
Hand-painted by one of the forefathers of painted comic book covers!
If you'd like to add this book or anything else to your order, we will be sending out a BackerKit survey tomorrow with the option to add to your orders. For the first time, all the variant cover books will be available separately as Add-ons. Additionally, one item many of you may want to add is the single issue (aka floppy) of THE EDWARD GLOOM MYSTERIES.
Frankenstein meets Sherlock Holmes meets Charles Dickens in this new JM-penned bonus title!
This story is not an official DeMultiverse title (and not eligible for our voting), but it is written by JM, and it's never been published before. It's also ONLY available during this campaign as a floppy and will have a VERY limited print run of about 300 copies. Once we finalize order totals on this book, it will no longer be sold via Kickstarter or our SpellboundComics.com web store.
The holiday caused us a little bit of delay in finalizing the TPB files, but we are almost done, and all the individual issues are complete; and the printer we've chosen advertises fairly quick turnarounds, so everything appears to be very much on schedule.
I must admit, I am beyond excited to get these books into your hands, not just because I'm dying to see how the voting turns out, but also because they all turned out SO well, especially the TPB with all the bonus features (including personal introductions to each title penned by JM & a foreword by former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Tom DeFalco). I'm really proud of all of them, and I hope you all enjoy looking through them as much as I do.

Hello, Spellbound audience!
A long overdue THANK YOU. With your help, both as backers and sharers, The DeMultiverse not only funded, but also broke $60K between the Kickstarter campaign and the SpellboundComics.com site. JM, myself, and all the members of our creative teams are extremely appreciative. We truly cannot wait to get these books in your hands, and tally your votes to see which title continues on first!
Regarding the special rewards:
For those backers who purchased a Zoom call (with JM or Matthew) or a script consultation with JM, I'll be reaching out to you very soon to get the ball moving on those.
If you bought original art that will be mailed at the same time as the books.
The digital comics we promised at 500 backers will be shared some time between January and March.
To those backers who are getting drawn into the comics, your photos have already been passed to the artists.
Which reminds me, we do still have one pretty darn cool chance to be drawn into Godsend. It's for sale right now for a limited time in our Shop on SpellboundComics.com. When we lock the pages in December, it will go away. This reward includes THREE different panels drawn by the talented photo-realistic pen of Matthew Dow Smith.

Good morning, Monday Spellbinders!
In case you missed it, Spellbound Comics & The DeMultiverse Kickstarter campaign had a busy week.
First we debuted Dustin Nguyen's incredible horror variant cover for WISDOM.
This joins the lovely LAYLA IN THE LANDS OF AFTER variant cover by JH Williams III.
And of course Kevin Maguire's amusing ANYMAN variant.
Then on Saturday, we nearly broke Kickstarter when we announced The DeMultiverse grew from 4 new titles in 4 genres w/ 4 artists, all written by JM DeMatteis, to 5 new JM titles in 5 genres w/ 5 artists. Introducing THE MYSTERIES OF EDWARD GLOOM!
GLOOM is a gothic thriller that JM describes as "Frankenstein meets Sherlock Holmes meets Charles Dickens." GLOOM is co-created by JM's AUGUSTA WIND collaborator, Vassilis Gogtzilas. Welcome to the DeMultiverse, Vass!
Also, we only have 3 days left in the campaign, & are (right now) less than two-hundred dollars from our first STRETCH GOAL which will guarantee THE DeMULTIVERSE COLLECTION TPB will grow from 100 pages to 104!
This is all very exciting of course, and we can't thank you all enough for helping to spread the word & for supporting us with your hard-earned money. But we're not done. Raising funds OR dropping surprises!
We still have ONE more, BIG surprise to throw in your laps. Our final cover artist, handling the GODSEND variant. And we will be announcing that either later today or tomorrow.
